"I had researched many different dog training facilities in the San Antonio Area and all of them seemed like decent options, but when I came across Ivy League Canine Academy it stood out to me. The first thing that caught my eye was that Alex is investing not only in training your dog but making sure to train you which is what I needed with my dog because although she was smart and had many of the skills he was teaching she wasn’t proficient in them all the time because I didn’t have the right tools. My dog went through the 3-week program and when she got back my life was so much easier with walks, her reactivity, and basic obedience. I am sooooo grateful for Alex and his team and so glad I found them and committed to sending her to them! I cannot say enough good things about them and their training program!"

"Ivy League Canine Academy saved my dogs. We were not able to commit 24/7 training to our 2 German shorthaired pointers with our full time jobs and other obligations. That is where Alex and his team came in to help train our dogs, and set that foundation for us to maintain. Our hopes were to be able to manage their behaviors that would enable us to travel with them, and also prepare them to be in our wedding this summer. Following their 3 week board and train, our dogs were able to travel with us on two flight legs and about 8-9 hours in an airport—they basically slept the whole time after all of their neutrality training! We are finally able to take them with us everywhere we go thanks to Ivy League Canine Academy! Bonus points for the daily videos we got of our babies."

"Recently enrolled my two German Shorthaired Pointers in a three week board and train with Ivy League K9. Alex was extremely thorough in his training with the dogs, but even more so with us as owners. Often times people think dog training is all on the dog but quite frankly it’s the opposite. The owners need the training even more. Ivy League K9 shared daily progress videos as well as instructional videos to ensure we would progress as owners and actually understand how to continue this training once the pups were back home. Very informative, easy to understand, and reliable communication. I would give 6/5 stars if I could. Give them your business and they’ll give you a structured foundation of dog training that’ll set you up for life!"

Brag, Brag, & more Brags!!!
"I spent a lot of time interviewing and searching for a good dog trainer nearby Boerne so that my husband and I could put Acey, our GSP in training to ensure that she would grow up well-behaved and obedient. Acey, almost as fast as a deer, and definitely the most energetic and free-spirited dog we have ever had needed some good kind person to instill some listening skills in her body. As I was scanning the internet i saw "Ivy League Canine Academy" and that caught my attention! I left a message and the owner/trainer, Alex, returned my call. From that first conversation I knew that this was the place that we needed for Acey to get some excellent training! We set a date and "voila" that day finally came for us to deliver her to him. As we drove up I wondered how in the world he would train this active GSP at his neighborhood. Oh, how little did I know what was going to take place with her! Alex assured me that Acey was going to be fine so we said good-by and drove away! When the videos started coming, the same day that we dropped her off, I was amazed at what he would be doing. Never had I dreamed that I would see his methods in a video everyday---it got to be where I waited for that daily video to hit my email! The video's showed me the kindness and respect that he used in his training and how Acey responded to him. There was nothing more fun than to see these words: No Ma'am, Yes Ma'am, Thank you Ma'am with the No's and Yes's while training her. I'm sure that she would love to live in his home!!! What he and his assistants taught her in two weeks is sticking and fantastic. I continue to use his language and training often and she is the most wonderful dog we have had in, let's see, 56 years of having dogs in our home. This is the very best training I could have asked for Acey! Make that call and in two weeks you will have the best dog ever! Thank you ALEX and your Assistants!"

"Alex trained my Onyx a year ago and when we added to our family, well we needed him to train Coal too. I thought Coal would be an easier dog than Onyx, but he wasn’t. So I immediately texted Alex and asked when I could sign Coal up. Both my boys needed to be on the same page. My house is peaceful once again. I needed that! Coal now stays on his place no problem. He heals, he jumps in my Jeep (that was huge for me) and doesn’t jump on my grand babies anymore. Coal is a different dog and I thank Alex for that. You experience a different love and relationship with your babies because of the training. Alex also always answers my questions. And I have many. I appreciate that from him tremendously. Thanks again to the ilk9academy team! "
