"This was an amazing experience for my husband and I as well as our two babies, Luna and Stella. I absolutely love the in-home training as our dogs got lots of personal, one-to-one time. The training videos were very helpful and the progress videos were good to see. This is an A plus business model and you can tell that all the trainers love what they do. I will definitely be a return customer as I truly appreciate the difference it made in our home."

"Ivy League Canine is superior to any other trainings my family has experienced. We have had working dogs, protection dogs and “normal dogs” prior to Alex and his team. This is the difference, they love your dog! They will train your dog and also train us humans! Nobody wants a dog that doesn’t listen or you can’t take anywhere. Within 3 weeks my pup is a whole new dog and she has a whole new family! I can’t express enough how amazing this team is and how much time they put into our family not just our pup! We will not go anywhere else! Thank you Ivy League for helping us and creating peace and freedom for us! Jenn R"

"We are so thankful we found Ivy league, and would 100% recommend their program to anyone looking for a dog trainer in the San Antonio area. We had been struggling with our 2yo pit-mix’s dog-reactivity and general emotional regulation, which were exacerbated by some big life changes including a move to San Antonio from a much less urban area. Initially I had some reservations about the board and train method, mainly that we wouldn’t get enough training to maintain everything Po learned throughout the program. But the 5-star testimonials convinced us to go for it and I’m so glad we did. Alex was super helpful from the first phone call, giving us an idea of what the process would look like and getting us booked for a 3 week board and train just a month or so out. Any nerves I still had disappeared on drop off day when we met with Alex and our trainer Mellisa. Mellisa’s knowledge and skills as a trainer were obvious from the minute we met her and saw her interact with Po Boy. She was incredible with him and very communicative with us. She kept us updated on Po’s progress with daily 30+ min videos of Po’s progress (even on drop-off day!), and did multiple training sessions with us over the three weeks to make sure we knew the techniques she was teaching to Po. We’ve had Po boy back almost 3 weeks now, and while his problems haven’t gone away Ivy League gave him the foundation and us the tools we need to manage them and continue making progress. The change in his obedience skills is night and day- we’d done multiple obedience classes with him prior, but Ivy League’s focus on structure and consistency taught him that he doesn’t get to pick and choose when he listens to us. And this structure + obedience has allowed us to get through to him in high-stress situations, where before he would just melt down. The continued support after the program has also been huge. We’ve already been to a very hands-on monthly alumni training session, and really appreciate the check-in messages and text-availability to ask for advice as we need it. Thank you so much to Mellisa, Alex and everyone else at Ivy League Canine Academy!"

"Ivy League K9 has truly exceeded my expectations! We enrolled our 5-month-old Cavapoo, Red, in their 3-week program, and the results have been life changing, especially considering we have a toddler. Alex and Maddie were Red’s trainers and they were so informative and helpful from the beginning. They sent daily videos of Red’s training sessions and progress and answered questions we had along the way. Watching him progress over the past 21 days was amazing. Red had some serious impulse control issues, such as jumping all over our toddler, getting the “zoomies”, hating his kennel, and jumping up on tables and counters! Though he definitely is still a puppy, his impulses are so much more controlled. Life with a toddler and a puppy are now easier and I don’t want to scream out of frustration haha. I can't recommend Ivy League K9 enough and how their program is so very worth it. They've made a world of difference for us as dog owners and as a family, and we couldn’t be more thankful! Bonus: they gave us a super informative handbook for quick tips and terms which will be super helpful for when we have sitters or family come over to watch our toddler and him."

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ivy League K9 is simply outstanding! We enrolled our 5-month-old Cavapoo, Red, in their 3-week program, and the results have been incredible. From the start, working with Alex was a breeze. The process was smooth, and they went above and beyond by sending daily videos and providing us with a wealth of information. Weekly in-person sessions allowed us to practice what they had been working on, which was invaluable. Red had significant impulse control issues, and with a toddler in the house, it was chaotic. But thanks to Ivy League K9, Red has graduated as an obedient and well-behaved dog. The change in our household is remarkable, and it's worth every penny. I can't recommend Ivy League K9 enough. They've made a world of difference for us, and we're beyond grateful!"

"We wish we could give ILCA 6 stars. We were initially hesitant to commit because of the cost to train two dogs, but Ivy League delivered everything we expected, and far more. It only took one meeting with owner Alex Schnell to see his level of competence and compassion for both animals and their owners. Our dog Winter was trained by Alex Marquissee, who did an amazing job of teaching both Winter, and us, a lot of lessons that will improve all of our lives from here on out. Like the rest of the Ivy League team, Alex has that rare combination of patience, knowledge, and empathy, that made him an ideal teacher for all of us. While we need some practice time, Alex made sure we understand everything involved with proper dog ownership, and has been coaching us since Day 1 on how to properly continue Winter's training, and our greatly improved lifestyle. Our 2nd dog, Summer, is training now with another of Ivy League's team (Zach) and we're seeing the same incredible changes in her behavior after only 1 week. One aspect (of many) that impresses us about ILCA is how consistent all of the trainers are. They all strictly follow the same training guidelines, which they continually teach us, as owners. That sets us and our dogs up for long term success."
